Orphaned by AIDS, a grandson is now cared for by his grandfather in their home in eastern Zambia. The best people to look after you if you are orphaned may be other family members (for example, a grown-up brother or sister), or grandparents, or aunts and uncles, or more distant relations. There may already be close bonds between children and such family members or relations. Even if this is not so, it will be reassuring for children to live with people they know and who knew their parents. |
