Qualitative Research: Children with disability in An Giang and Dong Nai - 2011
This qualitative Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (KAP) study on social inclusion for Children with disability (CWD) report has been technically and financially supported by UNICEF Viet Nam. The research team expresses its gratitude to various agencies and individuals for their support throughout the research process. Special thanks are given to Ms. Lieve Sabbe, Ms. Nguyen To Tran, Ms. Pham Tuyet Mai, and other members of the CWD working group of UNICEF Viet Nam for providing timely practical inputs and comments to improve the report and field work support in Dong Nai and An Giang.
Provincial authorities in the two provinces played pivotal roles in this research as they arranged all meetings with study participants, and were highly motivated to share their inputs on children with disability (CWD) situations in the provinces. They also had personnel accompany the team during the fieldwork, which guaranteed us no difficulty in accessing the study participants in all study sites. Key provincial authorities the team met included Mr. Thanh, Mr. Hue and their colleagues at Dong Nai’s social protection center; Mr. Nghia and his colleagues in An Giang’s social protection center.
Besides, this report would not have been possible without support and hard work from all members of the research team, study participants, and stakeholders from Government and Non-Government Organizations (NGO’s) whose names were not listed hereafter.
