UNICEF Vietnam is looking for a qualified Vietnamese consultant to do the documentation on Childhood Injury Prevention interventions in UNICEF Vietnam

Profile of desired candidate

Advanced qualifications in social sciences, journalism or related field.
Recognized experience in documentation of social and development projects and/or programs)
Good understanding of development issues, including childhood injury prevention in particular.
Good knowledge of the political, economic, social and cultural context of Vietnam
Extensive and excellent experience in synthesis, analysis and writing.
Fluency in spoken and written English
Previous experiences in research studies on injury and/or child injury prevention and/or program documentation are desirable.

2. Post Title: Programme Officer, Provincial Child-Friendly Programme and Head HoChiMinh City Sub-Office
Location: Ho Chi Minh City.

Summary of the Post:

Under the guidance of the Representative and the Programme Officer, Provincial Child-Friendly Programme, responsible for: 1) the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of provincial projects in the Southern Region within the Provincial Child-Friendly Programme; 2) management of UNICEF’s Ho Chi Minh City Office and staff; 3) representational duties for UNICEF for Ho Chi Minh City and the surrounding region, including management of Private Sector Fundraising activities in HCMC.

Qualifications:

Advanced university degree in Social Sciences, or related technical field.
Five years of progressively responsible professional work experience at the national and international levels in programme management, monitoring and evaluation, in a related field.
Fluency in English and Vietnamese.
Knowledge of the latest developments and technology in related fields.
Representational, analytical, negotiation, communication and advocacy skills.
Leadership and teamwork abilities.
Computer skills, including internet navigation and various office applications.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships, both within and outside the organization.
