Summary: For sale: the trafficking of Albanian's children investigates the complex and disturbing phenomenon of child trafficking in Albania. Through in-depth interviews with "Anila" as well as other trafficked children, viewers learn how children from impoverished Albanian families are often sent abroad by their own parents, who can see few other ways of making an income. "Anila" is only fifteen, but she has travelled back and forth between Greece and her hometown in Albania more times than she can remember. By telling their own stories children lead us on a journey across the mountains from Albania to cities of Greece where they attempt to make a living on the streets. Along the way we meet the committed individuals and organizations that are dedicated to helping the children return to Albania and rebuild their lives. While some of these children are reintegrating into their home communities, many more continue to venture out on journeys that end in sexual exploitation and violence in a foreign country.
