This public service announcement is part of a groundbreaking television campaign for children's rights for use as a run up to the 2002 FIFA World Cup™. The spot is available in 90, 60, 30 and 15-second versions and ends with the UNICEF logo and the challenge "Change the world with children."
Change the World with Children
The world football governing body, Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), and UNICEF have formed a global alliance for children. This year FIFA is dedicating the 2002 FIFA World Cup™ to children under the banner of "Say Yes for Children". These remarkable public service announcements (PSA) use the power of football to promote equality and fair play for girls and boys.
The spot shows the unquenchable energy, spirit and enthusiasm of children as a game of football surges across a world beset by poverty and conflict. Kicking a ball made of rags, girls and boys from many different ethnic backgrounds play with joy and abandon. The spot's theme is "Change The World With Children" and is designed to focus the world's attention on young people as we approach the 2002 FIFA World Cup™ .
Broadcasting these important messages is a vital contribution to raising awareness and encouraging practical approaches to positive child development worldwide. Thank you.
