Project Assistant, General Service Level - 5
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in the Republic of Uzbekistan has an open vacancy for a Project assistant to the Health Section of the Office. UNICEF within its mandate provides support to the state to improve the well being of women and children through the current Country Programme of Cooperation between the Government of Uzbekistan and UNICEF. Under the close supervision of Health Officer, the Project Assistant
- Will carry out the administration of project operations such as timesheets, travel planning
- Prepare correspondence related to project implementation as required.
- Will take care of logistic arrangements for in country travel and support incoming experts,
- Will process documentation provided by project partners related to incurred expenditure at regional level.
- Prepare budget summaries as instructed by the team leader.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education: At least a bachelors degree in an appropriate subject for the position. (accounting, logistics, administration)
Work Experience: At least 3 years working experience in an international project,
Languages: Fluency in English, Russian and Uzbek languages.
Other skills and attributes: Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.Work harmoniously with colleagues and be co-operative in assisting others during times of peak workload. Knowledge of Computer programmes. Current knowledge of development issues, policies and as well as social/programme policies/procedures in international development co-operation. Ability to research, analyse, evaluate and synthesise information. Proven skills in communication, networking, advocacy and negotiations.
A positive and pleasant disposition in undertaking work responsibilities.
