Following publication of Turkey’s Country Report on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), Say Yes Autumn 2005 discusses the indicators that most directly affect the lives and well being of the nation’s children and women. The report finds that a great deal of progress has been made in this respect but it is also clear that much more remains to be done towards achieving the MDGs and realising the right of every child to enjoy good health, education, equality and protection as promised in the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).

UNDP Resident Coordinator, Jakob Simonsen, spoke with Say Yes about the particular challenges that the MDGs represent for Turkey and the role of the UN Country Team in helping Turkey to achieve them.
