The Children’s Forum

Every year since 2000, on the anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), the Social Services and Child Protection Agency (SHÇEK) runs the annual National Children’s Forum in Turkey with UNICEF support.

Between the 18th and 21st of November, over 160 boys and girls from Turkey’s 81 provinces get together to discuss the common issues and problems that face Turkish children. The Forum aims to give the children an opportunity to discuss the ways and means they can use to make their voices heard.
