Agreements that guide our work

UNICEF Thailand works to ensure health, education, equality and protection for every child in the Kingdom. Our day-to-day activities and programmes are guided by three major frameworks:

The Convention on the Rights of the Child – the world’s most-ratified human rights treaty, outlining the basic rights that countries must guarantee for all their children

The Millennium Development Goals – a set of development targets that UN member states are striving to achieve by the year 2015

The Millennium Development Goals Plus – a more ambitions set of targets established for Thailand by the Thai government

• The United Nations Partnership Framework – an agreement between the Thai government and the UN on how UN agencies will work in Thailand
