  • Office of the Non-formal Education Commission, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education
    UNICEF works with the Office of the Non-formal Education Commission on a child development and protection curriculum for parents. The curriculum will be pilot-tested in the six tsunami-affected provinces before nationwide implementation.
  • Faculty of Education, Phuket Rajabhat University
    UNICEF cooperates with the Phuket Rajabhat University to mainstream child friendly school concepts into teacher training.
  • Bureau of Educational Innovation Development, Office of the Basic Education Commission, Ministry of Education
    The Bureau is in charge of the training of trainers on child-friendly schools concepts and how to assess the strengths and weaknesses of child friendly schools.
  • Kenan Institute Asia
    UNICEF works with the Kenan Institute Asia to develop a curriculum and lesson plans to teach children to protect themselves from Avian Influenza.
  • Group for Children Foundation
    UNICEF works with the Group of Children Foundation to provide learning centres offering a basic education to the children of Myanmar migrant labourers in orchards in Chiang Mai.
  • Life Skills Development Foundation
    UNICEF partners with the Life Skills Development Foundation to produce the Puen Dek Newsletter for all child friendly schools in the North and Northeast.  This newsletter promotes reading among primary and lower-secondary children.
  • Inter Mountain People Education and Culture in Thailand Association
    UNICEF works with the Association to promote integrated early childhood development for highland children in seven tribal villages through capacity building for parents and communities on child care and development.
  • Education Service Area Offices in Narathiwat, Yala, Pattani, Songkhla, Satun, Trang, Krabi, Phuket, Ranong, Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai
    UNICEF works with the Education Service Area Office to promote the child friendly schools initiative in primary and extended opportunity schools (primary schools that continue to teach children up to secondary grade 3). The initiative has also been adopted by the Education Department of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration in some 50 per cent of its schools.
  • Edcuation Service Area Office in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Ubon Ratchathani, Khon Kaen and Srisaket
    UNICEF works with the Education Service Area Office in these provinces to track which children are out of school and why.
