A children's documentary film festival and photo exhibition of photographs illustrating the articles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child will be organised at the EU InfoCentre, between 16 and 20 November. During the week, locally produced films including OneMinutesJr videos produced by children in Skopje on violence in schools and documentaries on Roma girls education will be screened. The festival also includes films from Israel on inter-ethnic cohesion, from the United States and Kenya on justice for children and from Japan on inclusive education. The first day, which will be hosted by children’s favourite dog “Petko”, is dedicated to articles from the Convention on the Rights of the Child. All screenings are free and followed by an expert led discussion.
The Council of Europe will organise an essay and projects competition "If I were a Magician" among the primary school students in the country. The winners of the competition will be announced at a closing ceremony taking place at the EU InfoCentre on 20 November.
