articles, opinions, and research about teaching and learning The Teacher
There is no such thing as "the teacher" in majority world countries. Not because teachers don't exist but because teachers are also farmers, shopkeepers, tradespeople, parents and have many other roles. Finding time to meet the needs of students and family responsibilities doesn't leave much time for nurturing one's own growth. Yet, when we do take even a small amount of time for professional development, it often repays itself in success with students and increased personal satisfaction. Sometimes the best professional development program is to simply Discuss Issues with an interested colleague. Other times it's important to increase our knowledge of theories, strategies, and practices. We have compiled a growing list of ideas linked below. Explore them. And, again, as you encounter ideas or questions through your reading, please feel free to bring them to the online community that's waiting to hear from you. Most importantly, thank you for your daily efforts in serving children. Articles, Opinions, and Research
