In this note UNICEF provides a market update on pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) supply availability and the expected timing of introduction in countries.
Following a significant scale-up of demand, UNICEF is currently facing a supply-constrained market for PCV, as it continues procuring for those countries qualifying for access to Advance Market Commitment (AMC) pricing and quantities.
The supply availability status will be updated again when results from a recently-issued tender are available at the end of Q1 2013.
