On 28 and 29 November 2012, UNICEF organized a series of web conferences to update stakeholders on the status of the procurement strategy and process for supporting Middle Income Countries with access to new vaccines. The sessions were attended by a wide range of UNICEF Country Offices, immunization partners, and industry representatives. The presentations highlight the rationale behind UNICEF’s engagement in this area, the planned approach and process, the main elements of the procurement strategy, the on-going engagement with stakeholders, as well as next steps.
