Several suppliers of these long lasting insecticide treated nets (LLIN) took part in pre-tender meeting for the 2011-12 period, hosted at UNICEF Supply Division in Copenhagen. The programme included an overview of global efforts to scale up net coverage and strategies for sustaining supply and reducing prices. UNICEF forecasting tools, quality assurance efforts and the expected roles and responsibilities of suppliers and freight forwarders were also shared.
