Current supply arrangements for RUTF are expiring by the end of December 2010. New arrangements will soon be put in place for the period of 2011- 2012. Therefore an expression of interest was published in June 2010 inviting companies to advise their interest to become a supplier to UNICEF. 29 companies confirmed their interest to be considered for the upcoming bidding exercise. In order to clarify procurement process and expectations of UNICEF concerning product quality, manufacturing requirements and contracting timelines, Supply Division held a consultation with potential RUTF suppliers on 18 October 2010 in Copenhagen. Beside RUTF suppliers invited partners included staff from the World Food Program (WFP) and Children Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). For the list of participants click here.
