UNICEF is in charge of water supply and sanitation in Mornei camp, Darfur, Sudan. UNICEF has provided drilled wells, water points, and handpumps and has trained 50 volunteers. They visit all families to give important hygiene messages. After this education, each family receives a ticket which they can bring to the water and sanitation center and exchange for a hygiene kit, consisting of a bucket, a mat, soap, and a jerry can. UNICEF is also building 3,000 latrines in the camp.
