These are the first school buildings UNICEF built in Durti camp, Darfur, Sudan. They are made of straw and covered with tarpaulin sheets. All the class rooms have received school materials and recreational kits from UNICEF. Teachers and volunteers have been trained to organise recreational activities for children. Kids go to school in two shifts, in the morning and evening. Half of the children are in first grade, as many of them have never been to school before.
