Round Tables

This page presents the UNOFFICIAL summaries of the three Round Tables that took place during the Special Session on the overall theme 'Renewal of commitment and future action for children in the next decade.'

One of the major highlights of the Special Session was the fact that children and adolescents spoke directly with Heads of State and/or Government in the three high-level round-table discussions.

The purpose of the Round Tables was also to allow a direct and informal dialogue between Heads of States and other dignitaries heading the delegations. The main themes discussed during each of the three Round Tables were education; the importance of listening to children in intergenerational dialogues; and the resources needed to achieve A World Fit for Children.
