Child friendly versions of Official Documents
We believe that it is vital that documents for the Special Session are available in a way that children and young people can understand. Save the Children has produced a child friendly version of the draft Outcome Document (with a dictionary) and child friendly summary of 'We the Children'. These documents are only available in English at this time but will also be posted in French and Spanish.

We the Children: Meeting the promises of the World Summit for Children is a landmark report issued by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan. The report assesses the progress made in meeting the commitments made to the children around the globe at the 1990 World Summit for Children. It also includes best practices and lessons learned, obstacles to progress, and a plan of action for building a world fit for children.

This report is an adapted and abridged version of the Secretary-General's report We the Children: End-decade review of the follow-up to the World Summit for Children (A/S-27/3), which was released in May 2001. Some of the data has been updated.
