Global rates for diphtheria-pertussis-tetanus (DPT3) coverage have remained just above 70% 76% (for DPT3 only) 72% (for DPT3 only) Almost all countries continued to implement national immunisation programmes; 1 billion injections are given to children and women annually through these programmes. Approximately 34 million infants are still not immunized with DPT3. In sub-Saharan Africa, the coverage is less than half. |
