Contraceptive prevalence has increased by 10% globally and doubled in the least developed countries. About two thirds of the world’s women of reproductive age who are in marriage or union are using a contraceptive method. The fertility rate is highest in the Sub-Saharan region, which also has the highest teenage fertility rate.
