Under the direct supervision and guidance of the UNICEF’s Division of Human Resources, and reporting to the Data Analyst Specialist, the Data Analyst Intern will perform and carry out the following specific duties and responsibilities:
Support the Review of DHR Fast Track Recruitment Policy from an information management and data analysis perspective, as required.
Provide technical assistance in populating the review-related database (i.e., inputting data from UNICEF’s e-recruitment into the database) and facilitate data analysis and preparation of related information products.
Provide support in developing an analysis methodology for the Review of DHR Fast Track Recruitment Policy.
Ensure user-friendly data is available to inform the findings and conclusions of the review.
Perform other duties as required.
This opportunity will allow for the intern to gain experience of working within the United Nations at UNICEF; participate in various learning opportunities in a wide variety of learning opportunities including brown bags and other presentations; network with peers.
Education: Relevant university degree or higher education.
1-2 years of proven experience of data analysis. Knowledge of statistical analysis required.
Experience of data management, with knowledge of different data collection methodologies.
Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
Other skills and competencies: Excellent knowledge of database software: EXCEL, SPSS, and/or other statistical programmes.
