Logistics Specialist, P-4, Douala, Cameroon (TFT)

. In coordination with the WFP office in Douala, you will manage the sub-regional logistics Hub.
. In collaboration with the Regional Logistics Specialist, you will provide technical support to reinforce the supply chain for Cameroon, Chad, Central African UNICEF offices.
. You will participate in the supply planning of the Cameroon, Chad, Central African Republic and Republic of Congo UNICEF offices.
. You will co-ordinate surge supply and logistics planning and execution for the CAR, Chad, Cameroon Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome and Principe, Gabon and Republic of Congo.
Your profile:
. Advanced university degree in Supply Chain management, or related field.
. Minimum eight years progressively responsible professional work experience at national and international levels in emergency supply and logistics operations.
. Experience required in international transport, transit, custom clearance procedures.
. Familiar with standard supply and logistics procedure in emergency.
. Proven experience in logistics corridor management.
. Multiple experiences in supply chain management in development and crisis countries.
. Experience in West and Central Africa an advantage .
. Current knowledge of global procedure for custom clearance, international transport (Air Sea Road).
. Proven skills, knowledge and experience in the implementation and management of Supply and Logistics responses in emergency and humanitarian situations.
. Proven ability to conceptualize, develop, plan and manage activities within the framework of organisational and government programmes as well as to transfer and disseminate knowledge and skills.
. Good analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills.
. Ability to work in an international or multicultural and team environment and develop partnerships.
. Knowledge of range of computer applications particularly Excel.
. Ability to write and reports in English and French.
. Fluency in French and English language required.
