Deputy Director, Operations, D-1, New Delhi, India

As Deputy Director, Operations, you will lead, manage and coordinate all operational aspects of the India country office - New Delhi and 13 state offices - in support of the country programme. You will also assist the Representative in external relations activities, including private sector fund-raising and mobilization of resources through bilateral and multilateral donors.
Your profile:
Advanced university degree in business administration or management (i.e. MBA, MS, MA, Ph.D).
Thirteen to fifteen years experience in senior managerial function in development or related work preferably in an international organization. Extensive managerial experience in administration, finance, human resources management, supply, computer application development and resource mobilization.
Strategic vision and leadership skills - proven ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan and execute ideas.
Drive for results - ability to translate strategy into action and achieve positive results.
Strong communication skills as well as the ability to transfer knowledge and skills.
Proven skills in team building and people management.
Excellent analytical and negotiating skills.
Ability to establish harmonious working relations in an international and multi-cultural environment.
Fluency in English and another UN working language required.
