Vitamin A saves lives in Nepal
Vitamin A has an amazing ability to boost the body's immune system. It is found in foods such as meat, eggs, mangoes, carrots and green leafy vegetables. In 1997 alone, the lives of at least 300,000 young children were saved by vitamin A supplementation programmes such as this one in Nepal.
