Early childhood care in Jordan
Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan has made early
childhood care her top priority. With a focus on the family, particularly
women, she works to secure a strong foundation for Jordan's youngest
citizens. The Queen has promoted the National Team for Early Childhood
Development to identify the essentials for the normal development
of babies and toddlers.

Children serious at play in Jordan

Jordan was among the first countries to embrace the UNICEF-supported
Better Parenting Project in 1996. The results have been extraordinary.
More than 13,000 parents were reached after the first three years.
Between the Better Parenting Project and the National Team, the
country hopes to reach the nation's most disadvantaged children,
who until now have been left behind.
