Country Representative, Macharia Kamau with popular television and radio personality, Nicole Fox during her recent visit to the UNICEF South Africa Country Office.

October 2007 - Popular Radio and TV personality, Nicole Fox visited the UNICEF country office in South Africa recently to explore opportunities for an ongoing association.  Nicole's interest is in promoting an end to the violence and abuse of women and children.  Moreover, she is particularly interested in projects that will give her the platform to inspire and motivate young people, specifically young high school girls amongst whom she is highly popular and greatly admired.  She wants to impart positive messages to them, so they can "dream to become something more and live the best life for themselves".  She emphasised that as a young girl, she always dreamed of a better life and better prospects for herself and now she is living her dream.  UNICEF says Nicole's, passion, and energy can be used to further propel positive messages around UNICEF's work for children in South Africa.
