Teaming up for children: All Blacks and UNICEF

UNICEF 2014

20 June 2014 - Today, two of the world’s biggest global brands are launching an international partnership around a common vision: using the power of sport to change the lives of children, families and communities in South Africa, New Zealand – and in all other countries.

The UNICEF and New Zealand Rugby (NZR) partnership will see the All Blacks, All Blacks Sevens, Women’s Sevens, Blacks Ferns and Maori All Blacks working together over the next four years to make a difference for the world’s most disadvantaged children.

Both partners will harness their wide following to raise funds, create awareness around children’s issues – and promote sport and play as essential to the health, happiness and well-being of children. UNICEF believes that sport is a catalyst for change and a driving force for progress.
