7-05-08: Baidoa school brings cheer to the lives of girls
                   
                    

In 1996, no curriculum existed in the aftermath of the collapse of the central government. This boy and others like him had to make do with limited educational resources and books. Today, Somalia has developed a curriculum for Grades 1 to 4 and the country’s educational efforts are being supported by UNICEF, UN and international partners. © UNICEF Somalia/96-03-Pirozzi.
