The third issue of Scanning the Equity Horizon presents the latest research and publications on equity and development. UNICEF’s own work has demonstrated how equity is necessary to accelerate progress towards the Millennium Development Goals. Our next challenge is to support countries in operatonalizing an equity focused approach. In this issue, guest editors Theresa Diaz and Alyssa Sharkey examine equity and health. In particular, they have selected articles that provide examples of how to measure equity in
health as well as related policy options.
