In this second issue of Scanning the Equity Horizon, we highlight pieces that take a look at the multi-dimensional nature of poverty and of economic shocks and crises. Articles and publications featured here describe how inequity in society makes poverty increasingly difficult for individuals to escape from, thwarts our efforts to achieve the MDGs and makes societies more susceptible to economic shocks and instability.
