Say Yes for Children was launched in Jordan by her Majesty Queen Rania on 16 May from the Northeast desert. The campaign has since surpassed all expectations, generating massive and encouraging support from all sectors of society.

Pledges in support of children's rights are being collected from all parts of the Kingdom through the campaign's steering committee of government and non-governmental organizations, civil society and the private sector.

Top leaders and decision-makers all over the Kingdom have taken a keen interest in the campaign. Pledges of support have come from Queen Noor, King Abdullah II, Crown Prince Hamzah, the Senate, all Parliamentarians, the Public Security Directorate, the Civil Defence, the judiciary and scores of others. Queen Rania has been actively supporting the campaign, joining the group of Global Leaders who have been featured in Public Service Announcements promoting Say Yes for Children.

Children and young people have been busily involved in the campaign, particularly students from the Community Service Bureau at the University of Jordan, who manage the daily tallying of pledges. In debate and dialogue spurred by the campaign, children and young people are speaking out on issues of concern to them, and decision-makers are taking note.

Thematic activities related to the 10 principles have included awareness-raising workshops in rural areas under the theme of "Protect the Earth for Children".

The media have played a vital role by helping to publicise and raise awareness in what has been dubbed the "1 million signatures campaign".
