June 7, 2007: Meet the Russian Junior 8 participants
Seventy-four children and young people – eight from each of the G8 countries and ten from developing nations – gather for the Junior 8 Summit, an international youth conference that parallels the G8 Summit in Heiligendamm, Germany. Young participants will debate four main themes: Economic development in Africa, HIV/AIDS, climate change and new global challenges – among them intellectual property rights and corporate social responsibility. We would like to introduce you to the Russian participants, tell their stories and give background information on the Junior 8 Summit.
