October 31, 2006: Orientation seminar on YFS in Magnitogorsk
UNICEF keeps on expanding geographical coverage of youth-friendly services Russia-wide.
In Magnitogorsk-city on 31st October – 1st November under the aegis of the Ministry of Health of Chelyabinsk oblast an orientation seminar on YFS for 75 specialists of health institutions from 15 districts of the oblast was conducted.
Professors Pavel Krotin and Alexander Kulikov, experts from St-Petersburg YFS training centre, touched upon key operational principles of youth-friendly services, and some aspects of the legislative framework of medical and social assistance rendered to young people as well as issues of inter-departmental cooperation.
The seminar also covered psychosocial and psychosexual peculiarities of adolescents’ development and different approaches to sexual education.
