November 22, 2006: The “Invitation to the Future” end-project conference will be held in St-Petersburg

UNICEF Russia and its partners are preparing for the “Main Resource. Reproductive Health of Young People and Demography” Conference. Scheduled for November 22, 2006, the Conference will sum up the results of the “Invitation to the Future” project, which has been implemented in 2005-2006 in St-Petersburg with financial support from USAID.
The conference is being organized in collaboration with the St-Petersburg City Administration, Plenipotentiary Representation of the President of the Russian Federation in North-West Federal Okrug and St-Petersburg partner organizations.
The conference will review and analyse the demographic situation in the country, and consider achievements and perspectives in providing adolescents and young people with medical and social services related to their reproductive health and family planning needs. The conference will also serve as a forum where the participants can share their experiences in provision of specialized assistance to street children and young people living in state care.
The event will be attended by more than 100 experts from the respective thematic areas which will deliver detailed presentations on the achievements and lessons learned and will introduce new methodological materials, publications, preventive video-films, innovative operational forms and methods, and exhibition stands.
