Dear UNICEF Supporter,

Firstly, thank you for your support and for choosing to donate monthly to UNICEF for the Global Parent program. Your contribution will support the development of projects in benefit of vulnerable children in other countries. These vulnerable children lack access to basic health services or do not have access to school, they are not vaccinated, and these children are exploited through work or are child soldiers.

We are expressly regretful over cases in which you may have faced difficulty in conducting a Direct Debit transaction through certain commercial banks. Following up with the notification we received from you, we have tried to eliminate this inconvenience through discussions with the banks. We trust that we will continue to benefit of your support through our new campaigns, though we cannot guarantee that such situations will not reappear.

In order to become a Global Parent you need to take the following steps:

1. As a result of discussions with banks, in Romania the Global Parent program will be supported by two banks that offer Direct Debit services to individuals: Banca Comercială Română (BCR) and Raiffeisen Bank. As such, you may contribute through monthly donations if you already possess or will open a current account at one of these two banks.

2. You may go to the bank and sign a direct debit agreement through which you authorize the bank to obtain monthly (on a pre-established date) from your account a sum in RON which you wish to contribute to UNICEF.

4. In order to realize the debit from your account, a copy of the agreement with the bank must be sent as soon as possible to UNICEF Office in Romania. You may send us this copy through any one of the four means:

d. Phone: you may contact us at +40-21-201-78-65 and provide us the following information: your name (first name and last name), your address, your identification (passport or id number), the name of the bank at which you have signed the agreement, the IBAN account number, the monthly sum you wish to donate, the monthly date at which you chose to have money withdrawn from your account.
