Fashion show in the benefit of Romanian children living with HIV/AIDS

memorable evening of fashion event organized in the benefit of Romanian children living with HIV/AIDS will take place on the 9th of April 2005 in Bucharest.

Romanian fashion icon DOINA LEVINTZA, Pakistani designer MEHDI, and Italian designer PAL ZELERI will display their apparel creations in a charity event at Crowne Plaza Bucharest.

This event constitutes a wonderful opportunity to witness how today’s globalization has penetrated individual creativity, transcending geographical and national boundaries, and embracing multi-culturalism.

UNICEF appreciates cross-cultural understanding, and remains deeply committed to the alleviation of poverty, and to ensuring that the rights of children to survival, development and protection are realized.

The organizers of this event have offered to donate all the proceeds of this fashion show to UNICEF, for one of the projects developed with one of their traditional counterparts Close to You Foundation. The funds raised through this event will support the creation of a Youth Club for children living with HIV/AIDS in Constanta.

Main sponsors of the event are ABN-AMRO bank, Embassy of Pakistan in Romania, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Business Review and BIZ magazines, and many others.
