ImpactThe National Parenting Education Programme in Pre-school Education has led to enhancing family knowledge, attitudes and skills related to early stimulation, positive disciplining, early care, parent-child interaction, and protection, with the introduction of modern parenting methods into the pre-school education system. As there was no systemic approach to parenting education in Romania, the pre-school education system was considered the best point of entry. The programme is currently being evaluated and preliminary findings show that there has been improved child development in families in which parents attended the parenting programme.
