EGYPT  November 23 - 24 Conference on "Child Rights and Islamic Jurisprudence" - a conference organized by the Government of Egypt and the Organisation of Islamic Countries to assess CRC implementation. It will be attended by the First Lady of Egypt, the SG of the Organisation of Islamic Countries, Government delegations and possibly young people. See the website: www.crc20anniversary.com.eg.  A children's pre-meeting will be held on November 21 - 22.
EGYPT November 18 - 21 CRC@20 Commemoration – a series of local cultural, social and humanitarian activities about the CRC including a launch of a special edition of the State of the World's Children Report.

OPT  November 19 - December 13  Photography by Palestinian children – an exhibition featuring photographs taken by teens in Gaza and the West Bank during UNICEF-supported workshops earlier this year. The exhibits are being hosted by A.M. Qattan Foundation and will run from 19 to 26 November in Gaza, and 19 November to 13 December in Ramallah. 
OPT  November 19 - 21  Adolescent-led initiatives: Sports, folkloric dance, drama, music and an awareness raising campaign on the CRC will take place at 143 UNICEF-supported adolescent-friendly centres across the West Bank and Gaza from 19-21 November. Partners include the Ministry of Youth and Sports; National Committee of Summer Camps; Al Nayzak for Extra-curricular Education; Maan Development Centre; Tamer Institute and Palestinian Youth Association for Leadership and Rights Activation.
OPT  November 20  The Right to Play: sports and recreational activities for hundreds of children sponsored by UNICEF, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Right to Play Palestine and seven NGOs. Activities in Gaza will include a marathon to a festival at Al Yarmouk stadium. In the West Bank, sports and recreational activities are planned in Ramallah, Hebron, Nablus and Jenin.  
OPT  November 21  Children’s Orchestra -- in partnership with UNICEF, the Edward Said National Conservatory Student’s Orchestra and Maqamat Ensemble will perform a concert at Ramallah Cultural Palace. Musician, composer and UNICEF Canada Ambassador Steve Barakatt, will perform his CRC anthem with the students.
