No Guns, Please: We are Children!

Small arms and light weapons kill and disable more children and adults than any other instrument of violence. Since 1990, over 2 million children have been killed in wars and 6 million have been seriously injured -- the vast majority of these casualties are directly attributable to small arms and light weapons. Deaths linked to these destructive instruments run into the hundreds of thousands every year, with those injured exceeding 1 million. This booklet lays out the guiding principles in the campaign against small arms and light weapons and details UNICEF's efforts.
