Lisbet Palme, a
psychologist specializing in children, is a member of the Swedish Child
and Youth Advisory Committee and the International Negotiation Network
of the Carter Center's Conflict Resolution Program. She chaired the national
and international Preparatory Committees of the World Congress against
Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (Stockholm, 1996) and is representing
her Government in follow-up work to the Congress. Mrs. Palme also served
as a member of the Eminent Persons Group of the UN Study on the Impact
of Armed Conflict on Children. She is Chairperson of the Swedish Committee
for UNICEF.
