Dates of DHS surveys

The DHS surveys drawn upon for the family planning tables and the women's progress tables in The Progress of Nations 1995 have been undertaken in a total of 47 countries over the last decade. The dates of each country survey are given below.

The DHS programme is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and administered by Macro International, Inc., Maryland, USA.
