Nyalyauk Nyok, South Sudan

South Sudan, 2014: “This is the worst I have seen,” Nyalyauk Nyok said. “Since the war came, there is nothing in the health centre, no supplies, no medicines. …our families are suffering, and as a mother there is nothing that I can do to make it easier for them.” The town of Kiech Kon was cut off completely from basic services and in dire need of critical supplies after fighting erupted anew in the country in mid-December 2013.
