Can You See Me?
Nyaluak, 14, South Sudan

August, 2014: “We want to be able to build our country – I want to be a doctor or a nurse – but how can we do it if there are no schools?” says Nyaluak. She lives in the town of Kiech Kon, Upper Nile State, where UNICEF, the World Food Programme and NGO partners have deployed a multi-sector rapid response team to assist people in remote and conflict-affected areas. By 26 August, 1.3 million people countrywide have been displaced since the eruption of conflict in mid-December 2013.
