Lovelie, 14, Haiti

August 2012: Lovelie Jourdain, from Port-au-Prince, was among adolescents who participated in a UNICEF-supported project to digitally map and photograph areas of their communities where contracting HIV is a greater risk. “This activity is a great thing for the community because most people are unaware about HIV and its methods of transmission,” she said. “When we walk through the streets, we speak with [community members]; we share what we have learned. People need to know.”
