Support for Yazidis

Iraq, 2014: Yazidi children, women and men who managed to escape Sinjar Mountain rest in the town of Peshkhabour, near the border with the Syrian Arab Republic, in Dohuk Governorate. Fighting in Iraq’s Sinjar District, in Ninewa Governorate, uprooted members of the ethno-religious Yazidi group who called the area home. Thousands of families fled to Sinjar Mountain to escape but, instead, became trapped, without access to food or water.
