Philippines, 2013: Children make their way through the ruins of levelled homes in Tacloban City, among the areas worst affected by Super Typhoon Haiyan. Some 14.9 million people – 6 million of them children – have been affected by the disaster. In early December, government-led emergency relief and recovery operations continue following Typhoon Haiyan. The storm, one of the most powerful ever to make landfall, hit the Philippines on 8 November.
