about dreams
Dream is the reason
why we live, the reason why we strive and the reason why I
became a UNICEF volunteer and UNICEF’s ultimate dream
is to make this world a better place and make it a world fit
for children.
Two months ago,
when I was still an applicant I was asked to write an essay
on the theme, why I want to be UNICEF Volunteer Intern? My
answer to this question is plain and simple; I want to be
the change I want to see in the world. I know those words
are not mine but of Gandhi but it is one of my favorite inspiring
sayings.
So what’s
the connection between change and dreams? Being a change and
making a change in this world means that I am able to make
my dream turn into reality. Is it not the goal of everyone
to make this world a better place? And my way of making this
change is through the opportunity that UNICEF and God gave
me.
My co-VIPs and
I know that this internship is not an easy task. Everyday
we are faced with challenges, trials, negative responses,
adventures, praises—a roller coaster ride, we could
declare. And even though it is a bumpy ride for all of us
but through the VIP’s efforts may we be able not only
to fulfill our dreams but also be able to influence others
to make everyone’s dream come true.
