2.5 kilometers. That's the shortest distance between children in the Philippines and their dreams. And you can bridge all that distance by simply walking.
On 21 May 2006, Sunday, go the extra mile for children around the Heritage Park and help raise funds for UNICEF's Pangako Para sa Pangarap Program. Bring along your family and friends, or ask them to sponsor you; and you can walk on their behalf. Rest assured that even the shortest distance you take will go a long way.
Take the first step: Register now!
Click on this link to download the Registration Form.
Another stride: Be a UNICEF fundraiser!
Gather as many people as you can to sponsor your walk. You can even sponsor yourself! Raise a minimum of P 250 to be a registered walker and a UNICEF fundraiser at the same time. There's no limit to how much you can raise for UNICEF. Just remember to collect cash and check donations from your sponsors; you can also invite them to watch you walk on the day itself.
The final stretch: Submit your forms and donations.
- Submit your form and donations to your company's UNICEF Champion.
- You can personally submit your registration form and turn-over the funds you raised beforehand to UNICEF's official marketing agency, BCD Pinpoint at 4F Bloomingdale Bldg., 205 Salcedo St., Legaspi Village, Makati City.
- Or to make things even more convenient for you, bring your registration form and funds to the event itself!
Get those walking shoes ready!
So on 21 May, take along your family and friends as they watch you walf for children at the Heritage Park. A half-day of fun-filled activities, food, entertainment, and prizes is in store for everyone. So get a-stretchin' and start a-walkin' for children in the Philippines.
Talk the walk: Support UNICEF beyond Walkathon.
You can keep on supporting all of UNICEF's efforts to make children's dreams in the Philippines come true. A monthly pledge donation of as low as P 300 a month to UNICEF (just P 10 a day) will contribute greatly to UNICEF's cause. For more details, you can call the UNICEF hotline at 758-1000 or write us an e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org. (Please put WALK on the subject line.)
