The CWC is the focal coordinating agency of the Philippine
government for children's concerns. It is officially under
the auspices of the Office of the President of the Philippines.
It is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the implementation
of all laws, programs and services for children.
National
Economic and Development Authority (NEDA)

The NEDA and its regional offices are major partners of the
Country Programme for Children (CPC). NEDA chairs the National
Steering Committee. It monitors the program implementation
of CPC. It also assists in monitoring the progress of the
country in achieving the Millennium
Development Goals. Other attached agencies of NEDA are
the National Statistical
Coordination Board and the National
Statistics Office.
Department
of Education (DepEd)

The DepEd is the major implementing partner of the Education
component of CPC. It has supported the Child-Friendly School
initiative since 1999.
Department
of Health (DOH)

The DOH coordinates and implements various projects of the
Health and Nutrition component of CPC. It provides assistance
in the conduct of maternal death reviews, establishment of
basic emergency obstetric care clinics, and setting up of
water supply and sanitation systems. It also formulates plans
of actions to fight child deaths, undernutrition and micronutrient
deficiencies. Other attached agencies working with CPC are
the Bureau of Food and Drugs and the National Nutrition Council.
Department
of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)

The DSWD implements major activities of the Children in Need
of Special Protection component of CPC. It is also the focal
agency for the early childhood development project.
Department of Labor and Employment
(DOLE)

The DOLE supports the campaign against child labor.
Department of Interior and
Local Government (DILG)
www.dilg.gov.ph
The DILG helps promote child-friendly governance. It also
advocates for the localization of the Millennium Development
Goals.
Department of Science and Technology
(DOST)

Attached agencies of DOST work with research and development
projects of CPC. These include the Food
and Nutrition Research Institute and the Philippine
Council for Health Research and Development.

Information Agency (PIA)

The PIA provides technical assistance in promoting the Convention
on the Rights of the Child (CRC) through its various projects.
