Orlando Bloom Activity Highlights

2014 • April • UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Orlando Bloom wrapped up a visit this week to Jordan where he met with children from Syria and their families whose lives have been devastated by the conflict - now in its fourth year. (Press release)

2012 • December • Goodwill Ambassador Orlando Bloom met with children and young people in the town of Grabouw near Cape Town, South Africa at a UNICEF-supported Isibindi programme that provides community-led assistance for orphans and children at risk of abuse, neglect or dropping out of school. 2010 • March • Orlando Bloom was among several Hollywood personalities and senior UN officials who attended the Global Creative Forum, which was held at the Armand Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.  The Forum supported the United Nation’s engagement with the entertainment community and encouraged film and television story lines about issues high on the UN agenda, such as climate change and violence against women.  United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was the keynote speaker at the day-long series of panels.

2009 • October • In Los Angeles, Orlando Bloom recorded a public service announcement for the 20th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).

2008 • November • Orlando Bloom travelled to Moscow where he visited the Krasnoselsky social rehabilitation shelter for children from economically vulnerable families.  (Newsline)

2008 • July • Orlando Bloom visited Nepal where he participated in the Soccer Aid 2008 video on clean water for UNICEF UK.
